Everyone Deserves Safety

Because of a complex history of gender discrimination, racism, and colonization, many women, newcomers, non-binary and Two Spirit people find themselves in the sex trade.

Canadian statistics

“Our team sees first-hand the devastating impacts of sex trafficking and sexual exploitation on women and girls in our community. We are grateful for community-based organizations like Hope Restored who offer immediate 24-hour assistance to those in need of support. It is not possible to combat these crimes without adequate support in place for survivors and those at risk of exploitation. Simply put, not everyone has the luxury of going home to a safe and secure environment with a roof over their head and surrounded by people they can trust. This shouldn’t be a luxury, but the reality is for some women and girls Saskatoon is a stopover in a circuit of sex trafficking. In moments of crisis Hope Restored has assisted our investigators with providing victims immediate refuge from their perpetrators. Thank you.”
